PULLMAN—Pullman Fire prevention officer Rich Dragoo determined that the cause of this morning’s apartment fire in the Chief Joseph apartments on the Washington State University campus was accidental.

            He said that the fire started in the kitchen and after a full day of investigation ruled that the fire was started by accident.

            Dragoo said that since WSU owns the apartment buildings, the university will release the specifics of the investigation next week.
